music monday: Drive - Matt Costa

i love matt costa and anyone that belongs to jack Johnson's brushfire records family. Matt Costa's new album Mobile Chateau buy it here. i haven't listened to the whole album yet but the songs I've listened to sound a bit like the Beatles were an inspiration.

concert season...

there are very few things better then going to a concert with Hala & our friends. This summer we {hala & i} have only been to a few, but they were all AMAZING! We went to Jack Johnson/ALO/G.love, Norah Jones/Corinne Bailey Rae, & Steel Pulse. Each concert was fun, and memrable & i can't wait too end the summer by seeing She & Him this TODAY!!!!

Corinne bailay rea & norah jones at Red Butte Gardens, it was so beautiful that night. We didn't have tickets to get in {sold out way to fast}, so we sat & chilled on the hill in front of the venue where we could see the stage. It was so much fun, we ordered pizza and enjoyed the wonderful music.

summer to do list....

Summer is coming to an end & i hate it, i feel like i still have so many things on my "summer to do list" to still get done.

Summer to do List

go on date with Hala: dinner at red robin & then watched inception

take a small road trip to the lake: Bear Lake with fam and friends

make a new friend: all you blogger & twitter friends + a few more

do something for myself: got a Brazilian Blowout from Laura Powell {best thing ever} go get one! 801.427.1830 {pics to come}

clean out my closets, & donate old stuff: done, done & done

go on a picnic

go see an outdoor concert:Jack Johnson TOMORROW

back to school {even tho i'm not in school} shopping

go fishing

get a tan:got one {i'm brown}

go to California: went to orange county with my folks, lil sister and Tay

have a fun game night

host a BBQ

throw a party: Taylah's 4th birthday

Slumber Party with my sisters preferably on a trampoline

I have about 14 days left until hala has to go back to school. I better cram my last 5 things on my list in to my schedule. Do you have a summer to do list? Have you done anything on my list?

this summer i want to just chill, i want to do the fun little things that I'm often to busy to do. I love this line "getting lost is not a waist of time" { jack johnson song} That's how i want my life and summer to be and feel. These super stinkin cute prints i found on etsy this morning make me smile. I just love them they make we want to chill and just enjoy my day life and all the little things.

I can NOT wait til Jack Johnson is in town. I will Be sitting on the lawn with some of my Favorite people in the world my Tayter Tot & my hubby Hala. Jack will be in town on August 13Th at the Usana Amphitheater in West Valley. I heard Animal Liberation Orchestra {ALO} was going to open for Jack. ALO's lead singer Zach Gill also plays the piano & does back up vocals for Jack. So go buy your Jack tickets & get familiar with ALO & The new Jack Johnson Cd, To The Sea.
